Rumi

These are some favorite quotes by Rumi.  He was a 13th century Persian scholar, poet, jurist, theologian and Sufi mystic.

Your task is not to seek love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world.  Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.

Out beyond ideas of right doing and wrong doing, there is a field, I will meet you there.

You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life.

I looked in temples, churches, and mosques.  But I found the Divine within my heart.

Mystics teach simple things but those simple thing change lives.
