My kitchen is worn and in need of repair. I have some new ideas that I would like to try but with all it's flaws I love this room. There is a saying that hangs in my kitchen that says, "the kitchen is the heart of the home." That's a true statement for our home. I preheat a memory and fold in old friends with new and I've baked many a good laugh in this place. In our well-lived home more than cooking goes on in the kitchen. It has been an art studio, a classroom, a quiet table for two, a greenhouse, a dance hall, and many prayers have been prayed at that window.
